Recently at the Best Places
to Work institute awards, sponsoredby the Herald and
Times Group, Weslo Housing Management was delighted to
be recognised as one of the top 25 best places to work in
Scotland.

Mike Bruce, Weslo's Chief Executive,
gives us an insight into why the company has been
recognised for this award:
"One of the main reasons
Weslo is a great place to work is because while it has retained its
roots in the community it serves, it can also connect to the
national agenda and influence the wider housing
environment.
Things like employing
local contractors and local people where possible, making sure
local suppliers get paid on time, and our Community Budget donation
programme for local causes underpin the former and our commitment
to engaging at a national level through consultation, conferences
and media.
Above all though, I like
to think of Weslo as a 'people' organisation. Every day, staff are
out there connecting with our most important audience - the people
who call a Weslo house a home".
The award was made at a prestigious black-tie event, which took
place on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Radisson Blu
in Glasgow, and was attended by members of staff from all
area's of the business.
