Statement The Board of Weslo has endorsed the undernoted statement which under-pins our philosophy with regard to tenant participation.
Weslo is committed to improving the service that tenants receive by giving tenants a greater say and influence in decisions affecting their homes.
We believe this participation will benefit both Weslo and its tenants and will :-
- assist community development
- reduce barriers between tenants and Weslo (whether real or perceived)
- lead to improved service delivery through better housing management
- give tenants more choice and influence
- lead to greater tenant and staff satisfaction and improve relations between tenants and staff
- help Tenant Directors carry out their role more effectively.
Underlying our approach to tenant participation is a commitment to consulting, supporting and informing our tenants through a variety of processes
- via our Tenant Participation Working Group which is open to all tenants to join
- providing information to tenants using plain language
- seeking information from tenants and assuring them that their opinions are valued
- listening to and considering the un solicited views and suggestions of tenants
