Welfare Rights Assistant [Permanent]

Hours – 37 Hours Per Week

Based – Bathgate

Salary – £25,398 [Under Review]

The Job

Weslo Housing Management is a Registered Social Landlord subject to regulations laid out by the Scottish Government relating to the standards required for the condition and management of properties. We are recruiting for a Welfare Rights Assistant who will provide help and support to tenants to maximise their income through welfare benefits.

You will have:

  • Knowledge of the Social Security benefits system and Welfare Law
  • Knowledge of and commitment to excellent customer care and equal opportunities
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Experience of using I.T. systems including MS Office, Housing Management Systems such as Advice Pro and Databases

The Job

We are recruiting for an ICT Manager who will lead, inspire and manage Weslo’s IT service delivery team and provide Weslo with reliable IT systems and infrastructure.

You will have:

  • A degree and/or extensive experience in a similar role
  • ITIL accreditation and an understanding of project delivery and methodology such as PRINCE2 and PMP
  • Extensive experience in building, leading, inspiring and developing a team of IT professionals in a dynamic multi-site environment.
  • Ability to make a major contribution to the development and delivery of Weslo’s IT Business Plan and Digital Vision.

You will have:

  • Educated to tertiary level with a relevant Technical Qualification e.g. CIOB, RICS
  • Experience of effective budget management and business planning
  • Experience of successfully leading, managing and motivating repairs and maintenance teams, with at least 3 years’ experience at a management level.
  • Knowledge of current regulations and standards relating to health and safety, building construction and contract management.
